Here is what ‘handmade‘ and ‘almost to no outsource’ mean in regards to ezhi&aka pedals.
Most enclosures are bought in Russia, standart aluminum alloy boxes, not even direct hammond clones, different material, different sizes.
My wooden cnc mills the top, I drill some led holes and everything on the back by hand.
Top and bottom are sanded by hand too.
Design application, check, removal, reapplication as well as clear coat application, check, removal with the design and reapplication are done by hand too.
This process involves a lot of cleaning, I use alcohol, odorless gasoline and some stronger stuff for it.
PCBs are designed in house, printed in and ordered from China. These guys are quick, but due to shipping there is usually a month delay between my order and receiving pcbs.
Parts are mostly ordered from China, knobs and wire from Russia. Shipping usually takes two-three weeks.
SMD soldering, through-hole soldering, and wiring are done by hand, then the pcbs are washed in alcohol several times in an ultrasound machine in house.
Assembly, testing, reassembly, testing and packing are all done by myself too.
